no brake stand?
#11
I had no problem causing a smoke show when my 5.3 was stock. It didn't matter if I was power braking or just stomping it from a stand still, both rear tires would roll for a distance.
And then again, I've heard people with the same truck (or ECSB) say that theirs won't spin period.

My 03 5.3 ECSB z71 would do it. I only tried it for a couple seconds though, didn't go for the smoke show, just a few revs of the tires in a parking garage to **** off my friends
Haven't tried it in the current truck.

there should be codes in your glove box...if you have the towing package on the 2000 you should have 3.42 LSD. if no package then you probably have 3.42 open but apparently that doesnt matter. maybe we were just freaks but once i got tuned i could spin wonders and now with the converter its like cake leaving 30' stripes just punching it from a stop
just treat this as a reason to mod the hell out of your truck!

its the tune. they added this to all the 06's cause i cant do it either. the computer detects when you have the brake pressed and it limits the power output, hence no burnout (DRX said it above). gotta do a tune.
