Default No freakin ac??

My ac just stopped working. The light lights up when I hit it but the compressor doesn't kick on. I checked every fuze in both boxes and they were all good. I switched relays with the horn and nothing still. And the horn is working so I know that relay is good too. I jumped 30 and 87 on the relay with a wire and boom the compressor comes on. So does anyone know what it could be. Could my ac control inside be messed up? Please its too hot here to not have ac. Im about to getto rig it till I figure it out lol its too hot.

Probably low on refrigerant. Take it to an a/c and have it checked. If the pressures are too low or too high in the system it will not turn on to avoid damaging the compressor. The shop can pull vacuum on the system too to check for leaks.

Quick test is the pull of the plug on your accumulator (cylindrical canister on passenger firewall) and jump it with a paper clip or keys. Its the low pressure switch so if the compressor starts up, you most likely have a freon leak.

Jumped it and it did nothing. It was blowing ICE cold before and now no compressor at all. Unless like I say I jump the relay in the fuze box.

It didn't work for mine either... I had an AC problem last week and I'm still dealing with it.
I ended up finding out that my orifice was clogged up (bits of compressor metal) and causing the pressure to become too high and the high pressure switch was kicking it off.
Hopefully yours is something else....

I remember some people here resolving their A/C problems by disconnecting the negative on the battery for about a minute and connecting it up again. Worth a try I guess....

When my a/c quit, I found that I had thrown off the a/c belt. Easy fix.
