No HEMI here. Bought a new truck!
Well, the wait and the months of shopping are finally over. I finally located the exact truck I've been looking for, and bought it tonight. I test drove probably 10 different trucks in the last few months, including:
-Crew cab Z71
-Crew cab Chevy HD2500 D-max 2wd
-Crew cab GMC HD2500 D-max 4wd
-Crew cab GMC HD2500 6.0L 4wd
-Ford F150 super crew (new style)
-Chevy Silverado SS
-Ford F250 ex-cab 2wd P-stroke
-Ford F350 dually crew cab 2wd P-Stroke
-Ford F250 "Fx4" crew cab P-Stroke
-Ford Harley Davidson 4x4 P-Stroke
-Dodge Ram 4x4 3500HD diesel SRW
-Chevy crew cab HD3500 dually D-max
But, I really liked the Dodge the best after driving all of those trucks. It was a tough choice between the D-Max GM trucks, and the Dodge Ram. I really like the looks of the Dodge, but liked the tranny in that GM truck. The Cummins diesel is very responsive, and felt about the same as the D-max. I liked both better than the 6.0L Powerstroke. The Dodge and GM trucks also had a better ride quality than the Fords, and the steering on the Dodge is very tight and nice. Ford felt sloppy, and wandered around on the highway. Appearance wise, I think GM should dress up the more expensive trucks more. The high dollar ones still look like the cheap ones. You can look at the Ford and Dodge upper end models and know they aren't the base models.
Anyways, here are some photos of the new towing rig:
I bought the Laramie trim level, with just about every option available.
-Black leather seats with gray suede inserts and Ram logo
-power....everything
-limited slip rearend
-towing package
-6-disc in dash CD changer, Infinity sound system
Sticker was $42,590, I paid $38,150 drive out.
I'll probably be kicking myself in the *** in a few months for buying a black truck, but I just couldn't get over how wicked it looks in all black.
Now I need a black enclosed trailer

Nice ... very slick looking. Black looks good for about a week after you buy it or until the first rain, after that, you have to spend LOADS of time washing and cleaning it. Then you have to deal with hellacious swirl marks. WHen they are clean though .... they are FINE. The best thing I found for mine was the Zaino z5 with ZFX. I didn't even bother with the z2.
That's very nice ... you should be happy with it. I hear lots of guys getting the Cummins cause they are good engines. The black does look a litle out of character for you looking at your sig. Maybe put some red racing strips on it to match the Camaro's.
I do wish GM would dress them up a little more, besides JUST the SS. The Colorado's and Canyons have a 'Sport' model with color matched grilles and bumpers. They look sharp. To bad it doesn't go to the other lines as well.

I've been ripped. Was that $38150 drive out with TT&L? Only difference between yours and mine is that mines 4x4 which I'd rather not have. I wish I would have gotten black instead of silver. I'm taking mine back tomorrow!!!
