Default Not my day

Rant ON

I was at work this morning and everything was going well. We were expecting a truck so we were trying to clear out receiving so we had room. Anyways, truck gets there, I unlock the doors to let him in and he ask "Who's blue truck out front?" I told him it was mine and he said he backed into it with his 18 wheeler. He says he couldn't see anything, but the alarm started going off so he must have hit it and I needed to come check it out. Well, since the doors were open to unload the truck I couldn't leave until we had everything unloaded and locked back up. This is making me sick having to wait to see the damage. After about 30-45 mins, finally I get to see whats been done. I walk outside, about 7:00am so its just getting light enough to see, and as soon I as walk out there I could see the crack in the rear bedside. Upon closer inspection, there is a nick in the bedcover and a small chip out of the taillight on the bottom. I know it could have been a lot worse, but the little damage that was done is enough to make me sick.

Cliff notes: 18 wheeler hit my truck at work. Had to wait to see damage. Rear bedside and taillight are cracked and the bedcover has a small chip out of it.

Rant Off

Yea, he said he told me because he would have wanted someone to do the same for him. $$$ wise, I think the bedside alone is like $700-$800 and then paint. I am going to try and get them to repaint the whole bed cover and not just spot paint it. And the taillights, I think new are around $175 (carbon fiber euros).

Did you cave his nads in??? Most truck lines install a nifty sticker on the rear view mirrors. It adorns the letters G O A L ...............

GET OUT AND LOOK!!!!! Yes it does pay sometimes.

PS: Some people dont need a CDL.

Dang, man, I hate that! My truck got sideswiped in a parking lot while I was on vacation recently. I was very lucky because 1) there were 3 young ladies who were nearby and everyone of them had a digital camera or a phone camera to get pictures of the other car, and 2) the shop did an incredible job of matching the paint on the door and fender.

I hope you're able to get this resolved to your satisfaction...good luck!
