Hey Guys, my finance' has a 03 Tahoe that has started making a weird noise that I just noticed this weekend. When driving, I hear a rhythmic squeaking sound that seems to be coming from the steering column or maybe behind the dash. This is not a random rattle or squeak because it happens when the vehicle is at rest too. The sound comes and goes and you may not hear it for a while after turning the truck off and restarting it later. Between the squeaks (its pretty faint and you can't hear it if the radio is on) if you listen carefully you can hear a sound of a vacuum not unlike the sound you may hear from your A/C after you turn off your engine. I think it may be related to the cruise control system but other than that I am baffled. Does anyone else have any ideas?
