99-02 motors do, 03+ motors don't. I have to use a different filter in my 02 b/c I have 03 motor.

Valvoline 5w30 when the change oil light comes on.
Used to be a diehard 3,000 mile guy... I'm comfortable with the monitor after doing a lot of reading.

They changed the filter length for a reason I'm sure. I'll stick with the shorter HP-1007 filter. If K&N recommends the shorter one like GM does, then I'll stick with what's recommended.
