Default Oil consumption, What's normal?

I used the search button. I read about the service bulliten etc...

I want to know what guys with FI are seeing as far as oil use? I run Mobil 1. I had my oil changed 2000 miles ago. I did take a trip to ATL last month and ran about 80mph for 4-5 hours. Anyway, I was out screwing with my amp and the "Check Oil Level" message pops up. I was like Huh?
Sure enough, took 2 qts to get it back up.

2 qts in 2000 miles seems a little much. I'm thinking the oil change place shorted me a qt because I've heard them talking about how my Tahoe gets 1 more qt than a usual car/truck they do. So maybe I got 5 instead of 6 and really have only used one qt in 2000 miles.
So, again... I want to know what guys with FI are seeing as far as oil use?

P.S. No leaks, I checked....

depends on how hard you drive it and the conditions you drive in. during the summer here in texas (100+) with my abbusive driving i would lose just barely less than a quart every 3k.

I'll have to monitor more closely. I never checked the level after the oil change. I go to the same place and the 2 guys that run it are chevy gear heads so I don't think they would short me on purpose.

If I see a trend in oil use, I will post up. I know boosted engines use a litte more oil and some oil consumption is normal in any engine. 2 qts just seemed way out of line.

I run M1 too and have no measurable loss over 3000 miles.
