ever since i put in my 6.0 it uses about 1-2 qts to every 3000 miles

5.3 - 110,000 miles - Mobile 1
Uses a little under a quart every 3000 miles.

4.8 19,000 MILES.... NO OIL CONSUMPTION.... STANDARD OIL USED FOR FIRST 6K MILES... CHEVRON SYNTHETIC USED EVER SINCE OIL COMES OUT JUST ABOUT AS GOOD AS IT WENT IT. MAYBE LOW POWER=LOW CONTAMINATION / OIL USAGE

ditch that PCV and go breathers. also todays M1 is junk

youre probably sucking it in the motor cause of the vaccum

I know nothing of how the PCV works nor do I have a catch can. How would I remove it and what would I do to take its place?

go over to tech and do a search for breathers vs pcv...youll soon realize how crappy the stock pcv system is

Over 60K. 45K with the blower. 5.3 and 6.0, I've never added a drop between 5K oil changes. M1 since the 1st oil change.

Well, I did some reading and then went and pulled the intake tube off. There is a little oil in the J tube but, I've always had that on all 3 motors that have had a Radix on top. The actual intake tube was pristine clean. I pulled the PCV valve and didn't see anything unusual, it would spring back if I pushed on it. I don't know where to go from here. I guess I will keep checking the oil level at 1000 mile intervals and see....
