Well last night I pulled the radiator and flex a lite fans. This morning I called all the salvage yards in Vegas. If I could find anything today, I was just going to get everything from LQK, and Nelson performance. LQK wanted $150 for the radiator and $185 for the fans.

I scored the radiator, fans, and complete harness out of a 06 Yukon for $150..... For everything, at the first salvage yard I went to. I feel pretty good.

I haven't gotten a chance to look at the radiator but how is everyone blocking off the tranny fluid inlet/outlet on these bigger radiators?

I didn't block mine off. Why would you not hook them up?

being in LV NV, i dont see why he would use them..

All i did was just run new Pushlok hose from trans to the trans cooler. Left the ports on the radiator open. Nothing is goin to come out of there.
Might wanna shoot some brake cleaner in there so your not dripping trans fluid trying to install it.

That makes sense. I didn't see any mention of an external cooler so I asked why would you not use them. Obviously, with the weather you have. and an external cooler you don't need the internal cooler.

Just remember liquid transfers heat better then air and tranny fluid coming out of the trans can be hotter then the coolant.

I got my radiator in tonight and the e fan harness taken apart and cleaned up. I just need to find some pcm pins to wire the low and high speeds to the computer. Any ideas

Also there is a hole at the bottom drivers side of the radiator that looks like a drain plug but nothing was in it when I picked it up. I filled the system with water and let the engine run for 10 mins or so and didn't see any leaks. What is that hole for?

Fans are in and so is the harness. The only thing left is to pin the PCM. I think I will just take the pins from the egr and oil pressure signal and use them for #42 and 33. Should be done after work.
