Painting tru-cool max 40k...
What kind of steps do you guys do to properly paint the 40k trans cooler so the paint adheres properly? I have flat black engine paint, adhesion promoter, some self-etch primer as well. Thanks guys.

Thanks guys. I painted the front side of the cooler with flat black engine enamel. Do you guys think I should paint the back or just leave the back of the cooler raw aluminum? I'm just thinking about leaving it raw aluminum because I just wanted it black so it hides it front view in the front and painting the back wouldn't matter since its hidden. Thanks again.

overthinking it much.........just paint the thing and install it already. Brakecleaner to get the oil off and however many coats it takes to cover the aluminum.
