Default Pennzoil Platinum

It's a full synthetic...anyone use it or know anything about it? Wal Mart has it for $3.87 a quart.

I don't know...I've never liked Pennzoil products but everyone has their own opinion. Maybe their synthetic is better. What's wrong with Mobil 1?

I've used Mobil 1 for years in four different vehicles. I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about it...good/bad...actual use/reports. I like synthetics and believe they are better than dino. M1,Amsoil,Royal Purple...I'm sure they're all good.

I guess I can research it some.

Each to his own when it comes to Oil. Personally, i prefer M1 oil on everything i can.

I probably wouldnt trust Pennzoil's synthetics, i dont know it just seems too cheap. Their dino oil is pretty good, although you can go even cheaper and buy Walmarts Super-Tech oil (Its bottled by Pennzoil).

Penzoil is our house brand at work. Oil is oil to me, Its just a matter of adatives they use in it. I Use Mobil1 syn because I choose to, Not that its better than another. It all comes from the same source IMO. However I once soaked some new clutch discs on my motorcycle in penzoil 20/50 and they slipped like a ****! I had to buy a new set and soaked them in Castrol 20/50 with out problem. Penzoil has some crazy additives IMO, but its not a bad thing either...

So you have to pre-soak those wet clutch discs? I had a Kaw. trail bike a long time ago and I think it had ATF in the case.
