Default the perfect gas mileage set up. how would it go.

i know 99% of everyone on here is all about getting the max out of their trucks. im one of those people too. i was just thinking what would a perfect/good gas mileage setup be? keeping it on reasonable budget. do you think 26mpg+ would be achievable?

lets say the truck is:

2000 sierra SCLB 4.8 5 speed.

i would think that you would want a torque cam, elec fans, CAI, exhaust, and a custom tune. i was also thinking that a t56 with the double OD would be helpful for highway if you set the rear end up correctly.

Just buy a honda....I get ~20 highway but around town only 12-13mpg. All the stop and go kills me. If you drive very easy on the peddle and stay around or below 2000 rpm i think you could do it or come close but how fun is that?

my DD is a 98 ranger 2.5L 5 speed. 215K on it i get about 22mpg. i drive this thing everywhere, and only take the sierra out when im bored. i have a 5 minute drive to work. i was just thinking it would be nice to upgrade the ranger, with something a little bigger, and with more power for highway.
