Be easy on the go pedal and go N20/turbo/blower. No loss of mpg if you can contain the right foot a bit. Also anything to get air in, combust more efficiently and get air out will help with mpg. I get around 17-18 city and 22-24 highway if I'm easy. Why all the talk of mpg anyway? is it because it's earth day? This is Pt.net we talk about HP,TQ and ET!!! Dont let that environment stuff go to your head, we will all be pushing daiseys someday.

mod the $hit out of it. put a stopper on the gas pedal that only lets you get 1/2 throttle, lol.

Actually, I would like to build a 4.8 front mount turbo with a 6 speed. Go forged with lots of boost for power, yet keep a mild cam and a light foot when you want to put-put down the interstate for a couple hundred miles.

i was thinking a 6.0 -t56 -e-fans-bolt ons-torque cam-milled heads-maybe 3.23

if people say going from a 5.3 to a 6.0 increases mpg on average 1-3, why not just spend some extra, to get a little more all the way around

T56 + 3.23s would make 6th gear nearly unusable.

Lower the truck, put a bed cover on, block off any air openings at the front of the truck. Skinny front tires slightly overinflated. If you have power folding mirrors, pull them in on the highway.
