Please help.. Why does my TB look like it caught fire?

i ment yes look like yes the forst fire **** is from the EGR.

I still cant believe how bad it looked behind the blade. It was unbelievable!
Use the "seafoam" products to remove the buildup, they work very well. Would not recommend the screwdriver trick tho! But then, you gotta do what you gotta do.

that is funny you say that..... i never knew what actualy caused the build up but i have never had it. that makes since though because i have not hade an egr for ever.

how do i clean my tb?? i have used seafoam but i poured it through my brake booster line..

usually a toothbrush and carb cleaner works fine. then a clean clothe. hard to get behind the blade unless you remove the entire TB. if your gas pedal sticks every so often, then you can get by just by cleaning the TB w/o removing it
