pod painting
when painting my pod white, would it benifit me to put a coat of satin over it? OR will it be ok just to use white interior paint without the satin? i never done this before and i want to make it look good.

When I painted mine (charcoal) I didn't put anything over satin or clear over it. It is not quite as shiny as the factory plastic, but it still looks good. I think if you put satin on it, it may be too shiny.

Where is the pod being mounted? Is it going on the pillar? ...I'm wondering if this white matches your interior. I'm guessing skinny painted his charcoal 'cause he has the dk graphite interior. So using a clear would depend on what look you are going for. Leaving the base coat on there would be fine since it isn't exposed to the elements. But if you want it to shine, you'll have to use a clear coat.

IMHO clearing interior pieces is a MUST, the basecoat isn't strong enough to withstand bumping, scratching, and such that interior pieces take....and without clear the color can fade rather quickly. HoK makes a small rattlecan matte clear that you can find at most hobby shops under the "Shimrins" trade name
