Pops out of Gear at 6000 rpms
I am new to this site and was hoping to get some help i have an 08 vortec max and it was supposedly cammed and tuned by Flaco. The first day i had it it drove great, however now under heavy acceleration or anytime my foot goes past about 50% throttle when the truck hits 6000 rpms its almost as if it goes into neutral, before this happened the truck would go well over 6000 rpms under wot. If anyone has ever heard of this or has any ideas on what the problem could be i would really appreciate it.

been waiting for a break so i can scan it at work no light though, i really hope i dont have to rebuild another transmission and would hate to do it at only 39000 miles

the truck shifts up and down fine though and if the tranny was going out wouldnt their be more than just on heavy acceleration that i was having problems. the only other odd thing i can note is it stays in 1st for a long time even if im taking off moderately it still goes up till almost 4000 rpms

nah its far from stock its got pace setter long tubes no cats to a magnaflow turndown, airaid CAI, and i know the tranny is built but like i said i didnt build it so thats all i know and i believe it has ls3 heads on it, i dont know what the shift points are set to all i know is the rpms arent going as high as they used to when it was driving right it would pull to probably 6500-7000 rpms im not even sure if its the stock tranny in it to tell you the truth because i know in my 01 4l60e getting to 120 is a challenge but in this truck even just at partial throttle i blow past 120 easy and keep climbing, the truck is deffinetley built way more than i know its got a tow haul tune on it also but now when i hit the tow haul button it its like it goes into neutral, its acting like it forget some of the tune but thats impossible right?

Flaco is clueless and i dont care how well he builds trucks hes an a$$ and will not help me out at all i contacted him and he will not tell me anything. he didnt even attempt to help me out at all. any ideas on what could cause something like this. i dont want to yank the tranny and rebuild it and it have nothing to do with the tranny and be the tcm
