Default power folding mirrors?

I just bought a set of the power folding mirrors and the controller for my 03 silverado. I put them and the controller on but the passenger side won't fold out but the drivers side will. Neither of them will fold in but everything else on them work(signals, puddle lights,&adjustment). Thanks for any and all help....

cycle them back and forth (fold in, fold out) several times, make sure there's nothing wedged in there holding them in that position.... if someone manually folded and unfolded them it may take several fold and unfold cycles for them to start working.

edit:
also, can you hear the motor on both sides?

yeah, I mean with the switch. It sounds like there is something wrong with the powerfold actuator.

Have you manually folded them in? It's recommended that you don't but just to make sure they aren't stuck, maybe fold them in then start with power folding them out, then in then out a couple times.

yeah i tried to fold in the passenger side in and powerfold it out but it does nothing. i just dont understand why the drivers side acts like its going to fold in but doesnt. could the acuator be messed up if it would only fold out? can you get the acuators seperate?

you might have to get your bcm programed for them to work.

yeah i might have to try that, i thought about that but when i put the factory fog lights on everybody told me i would have to get it programmed but i never had to. How much does it normally cost to get the BCM programmed?

it's not necessary, I've done the conversion on my truck without any issues.

it sounds like bad actuators... why were they removed from the truck they came from?

they were never on a truck that i know of. the guy i puchased them from said they were brand new and i have no reason to think they arent because they didnt look like they had ever been mounted.
