Default put truck in gear and BANG!

Truck is sitting in driveway, so I decided to start it up and pull it into the garage. I started it up, grabbed the shift selector and soon as I pulled down on it...BANG..I feel something smack the floorboard of the truck so I shut it down quick and this huge coil spring comes rolling out from under the truck on the driver side and does the weeble wobble as it lays down flat. Im thinkin aw **** I blew something in the transmission. I look under the truck and expect to see a river of red transmission fluid rolling down the driveway and nothing. I crawl under the truck and cant see where the hell this spring came from..everything looks normal. I pop the hood and the hood wont stay up I then remember when I had to drill the hole to put the purge in, I had to disconnect the hood brace on both sides so I could lift the hood higher and they have a huge coil spring connected to them and I was missing the one on the passenger side....shweeeewwww. I cant believe that somebich managed to work its way under the truck..bang the floorboard and roll out the drivers side when it came loose but either way I sure am glad thats all it was.

Im glad too, I felt my pockets get lighter and imagined being without my truck for a few weeks. Still cant believe how it went through the engine compartment and rolled out from under the truck...I better check under the hood and make sure it didnt knock anything loose..that thing was wound tight when it let go.
