building a lsx block whether its standard or tall deck is not for the weak of heart.. its for the hardcore guys who want all the power they can handle and still have plenty on the table to build on later which is why i'm debating to do one or the other

I was told that the that besides the a/c bosses requiring the a/c bracket to be machined or go with a kwikperf bracket, that the mounting bolt holes in the tall block do not have the correct distance for the upper accessory brackets, like whoever made the casting forgot the head would be higher and farther away. so bolts holes for alternator bracket in the heads would not line up.

The Tall deck does not allow the use of any stock intake manifold, and thus requires a sheet metal one. So for the people of the street you see running them it might be to keep the cost down or to pass some sort of smog check. Also there are racing classes that require stock intakes, and that will account for some of the racers. Plus a FAST intake is what $500 now, ...
If u can find a new FAST intake complete for $500, I say grab it. Iv've never seen it that low, even when intro'd.
W/. a 2000 or 2500 HP limit, it'll satisfy anything a person would sanely put on street.

I'm really considering it man.. I'm watching your thread and usabodyguards thread and yall got me motivated.. I might not be able to throw down as much as you two do at once but I know buying a part a month will evenutally get me there to where i want to be just not as fast as you guys. I should have enough money by end of august to start my foundation of my engine build.
