Raced a 99-02 extended cab silverado today.....
I was driving to my girlfriend's house and seen this 99-02 black ext. cab stepside silverado. It had stock tires and aluminum rims and just about everything blacked out. It looked really good and it had some kind of exhaust dumped (probably flowmaster).
Anyways I seen him behind me a little later down the road. We in traffic at a red light and he was in the other lane about a car behind me. I guess he seen my performance stickers on my back glass (Crane Cams, Dynomax Exhaust, K&N, Futral Motorsports, & LaPole Custom Headers) and he starts reving at me. The light turns green and both lanes go around this corner. Well, he gets behind me and starts riding my *** and reving and all this ****. (Scarface voice) So, I'm like OK. You wanna play rough.
Then we come up on a redlight and I dart over to the other lane, so we can line up. He gets beside me and this dude is in his late 30's or early 40's and has a chick with him. He starts reving and edging up, letting me know he wants to race. The light turns green and we both chirp the tires. I instantly start pulling him really fast. By the time we got to my 1-2 shift (~50-55mph) there was at least 5 truck lengths between us, if not more! I still kept pulling on him until I let off at about 75mph and hit my brakes to let him know that I wasn't still racing him. When I let off, he was still flooring it until he got about a truck or so behind me and turned about a minute later. He wouldn't get up beside me for crap!

His wife was probably giving him a bad time you know.Telling him how juvenile he's behaving and getting all pissed off.If you are over 30 you never race with the wife in the truck.I guess the dude just forgot in the heat of the moment and then thought better of it.You got the kill and he got yhe a$$ chewing.

I've got a black armband birthday next myself. I will race with my wife in the truck. She just shakes her head and smiles. As long as I'm winnin she can ride, if I lose weight reduction might be in order. Jim
