Default Raced a f-250 diesel yesterday

Hey I was out last night with my brother and my girlfriend. We just got done watching a movie and was on my way home and I got struck at a light with this cowboy in a new RCLB F-250 6.0 powerstroke. We did one of those 10' rolls and took off. MAN! he took off abit early but got that turbo spooled up and jumped like a truck ahead, but after that I caught up to him pretty quick at about 70ish and we hit some traffic. After that I got next to him and we were going about 35 and gunned it. We were dead even all the way up to 95! Is that right . Nice guy, kinda talked to him he said his was stock, I find that hard to believe.
What do you guys think?

I also find it hard to belive he was stock. They do respond to mods very well though.

well.. you were also riding three ppl deep in your 5.3L.. while his 6.0 Diesel is a torque monster.. so he very well may have been stock but you all kept even probably due to the fact that you had a lot more weight in a less torqued out engine.

Also i was looking.. even though u have 4.10 gears, its open diff., which may or may not mattered much since it didnt seem like traction was an issue... I pulled a Cummins Dodge Diesel last nite pretty bad... cummins is the 6.0L turbo simlar to the Ford engine, never raced a Ford, maybe they are faster.. dont feel bad... get some nitrous and cam it out, you'll be fine

Don't feel bad. I had a Ford 350 Dually to smoke me one time, both literally and figuratively. There is nothing like loosing to a work truck!

Any of modern turbo diesels from the big three can be modded to haul *** like nobody's business!

The only thing a Cummins and powerstroke have in common is they both burn #2 diesel.

My Dodge isn't as quick as a PSD or Dmax but it will outpull both of them stock to stock.Modded it gets more ugly for the other two.

If you get a chance go to a truck pull and see who dominates.

The acetone isnt there to raise the octane, it breaks the gas high surface tension so u get a more complete burn.

He could have kept up with you, since you had 3 people in the truck with you. No diesel truck from the factory is quick, they all run low 17 second 1/4 mile runs, maybe high 16's. However, with mods they can get fast. My dads LLY runs 14.5 at 92 with E/I/Edge

if you get them to spool just about right they will pull hard on you, my brother 250 pulls pretty hard.
