Default Raising fuel pressure

Can a stock fuel regulator be shimmed to produce higher fuel pressure?I installed a new stock regulator on my Tahoe and was thinking of trying to add a shim behind the clip to see what happened.Has anyone tried to modify a stock regulator?

Couldnt you use an FMU? Im not sure about altering a regulator, FMU seems easier.

I'm going to an aftermarket regulator in a couple of weeks and thought I'd see what could be done to the stock regulator, for a cheep mod for some of the guys who can't afford to change their fuel systems.

Unless its a regulator for a flex fuel engine it can be adjusted. If I remember right, it takes a #8 torx security bit. Just turn it clockwise to increase pressure.

Yesterday I ordered the magna-volt from Magnacharger and had them over-night it to me. Hoping this will cure my fuel pressure problem. If It does I will be going to the Chevy VS Ford shoot out at the Sac. speedway On Sunday.
NorCal LS1 club rented the track for the day. I sure hope I can go and show them FERDS a thing or two

Negative. The 2004 does not have a regulator on the fuel rail.
