I voted 2wd because there's less stuff to break, haha.

Seriously though, push button would be the happy medium, it gives you the best of both worlds.

Don't want to hijack the thread but this is sort of related, what is the sweetspot for a 4wd hp wise in the street? 500 hp or more? What about a 2wd?

Too much of a good thing (hp) can hurt sometimes.

From what/how I've always driven, 450-500 or so in a 2wd RCSB. A 4WD RCSB? I'm not going to give you an exact number, but you see Parish's truck and the LSX truck on 76's, that seem to handle 800+ (I KNOW it has to be that much or more in regular, street trim) and then trucks like Smokeshow's. It really all depends on your setup, since each will act differently and they do for sure all act differently. Definitely more street-friendly launches and more capability for lower speed rolls with a 4WD.

It seems with a properly setup 4wd on sticky tires on a sticky street you can put down 1000rwhp but anything more than that and it becomes a drifter. Thats just based off the various setups Ive seen videos of an info on here. My truck when I had a 4200 converter and 418 stroker would spin all 4 through an asphalt intersection but my suspension was stock.

I mean a dedicated street truck, a DD on street tires.

For some reason around 500hp is the magic number (for a DD) in my mind, I'm wrong?

I NEVER turn on dry pavement in 4X4, that's a sure fire way to cause problems very quickly. Only time I am in 4X4 is at the track or a straight line from an intersection.

If you want to take turns while still having power to all 4 tires go with an AWD setup

I hate reading these threads. It makes me want to sell my 2wd.

What about 2wds with narrowed rear ends? 4 links?
