Im going AWD, for mostly turning abilities. I had my steering lock up while at the track, it was weird and im not entirely sure what caused it. I haven't heard of any issues with AWD setups if you can get past no burnouts.

I'm also torn between awd and 4wd. Sad thing is I have a tcase to do either lol

I am biased cause I have never owned an AWD. I considered it when I bought my truck when looking at the Denali's but I really like being able to be 2WD 90% of the time till I need traction then I just flip a switch

I am running an AWD and while it is fun on the street, it is impossible to do a burnout or warm up your tires. As I slowly get faster I wish more and more that I had a 4x4 in order to run drag radials and be able to at least warm up the rears.

Also, when at the track it is rare that they keep the water box small enough to allow you to drive around it 100% without getting your tires wet. In the AWD it is very hard to get the tires as dry as I would like even after driving around the water. Just a few blips of the throttle to see if I spin at all is about all I can do.

Looking to get different wheels and run drag radials front and rear but I am concerned about how well they will do when not warmed up since most drag radials are made to warm up the rubber to get the most from them.
