Default rear-facing car seat in Ext. Cab?

well we are having a baby soon, and i was considering buying a 4-door family oriented car, but after the recent snow/ice, i enjoy my 4wd and would like to be able to haul the baby around in the nasty weather

i guess my question is, can you safely carry a rear-facing car seat in the extended cab portion of a truck?...truck is a 1995 C1500 extended cab

I did the same. The 99/00 doesn't have the bottom latch points.

Well I may give it a shot, we have a car seat we can try, that would allow me to spend my money on my LSx fox body lol

03 here and used the Center of back seat. Pretty much your only option. Should fit pretty snug.

Even if it would fit behind a seat I would ALWAYS put a child in the Center in case of a side impact.

Just got an 02 EX cab.

What about 2 rearward facing seats in the rear (behind the driver and passenger)

I'm 6'2" and my wife is 5'10". When I put the seat in behind the front seats its very tight and requires the front seats to be slid forward to the point of not having much leg room....2nd little one on the way and looking for some help.

thats one of the reasons I traded my ext cab for my crew cab. there is no room in the back of an ext cab for a child seat, and me/ my wife are not going to reach over the back seat constantly to get our baby out of the middle. In my crew cab, I've got a baby seat base attached to the anchors on the passenger side, and anyone can still ride in the front comfortably.

not looking good man, unless you can deal with having your legs all cramped up.
