removing cats and warranty

I had GM customer care on my side though. Guess who won.

Isn't the Radix CARB legal??? I'd think they'd have to service it, I recall stuff that's CARB legal means it can't void that warranty...
cstchevy... why you wanna even mess with tossing the cats? Just want more sound? Is it worth tossing the warranty to be loud?

I want the sound and the warranty wont go anywhere. First off yes I want it louder, second the guy who I bought my truck from owns the dealership and is great friends with my grandad who is in fact a attorney. Really I can get anything fixed I want their and any part that I might have to pay for is at cost. So it's just a good deal for me maybe not everyone. I just know he wont screw me around if something needs to be fixed.

The newer RADIX"s are CARB legal. I got mine before they were certified though. I don't know if anything has actually changed or not, but either way, the would prolly void it.
I wouldn't expect them to fix it if it was something I broke anyways.
A week after I traded my old truck in, the tranny started slipping. The service manager told me that they ended up eating a tranny on it since I had it rebuilt with all aftermarket parts. He told me that if I did the same thing with my new one, they wouldn't be able to cover it. I told him then, I wouldn't expect him to fix something I broke, but I may ask him if he can bend the rules, and if he can't ... oh well.
I think the dealership I bought my old truck told them what all I had done to it when they recieved it for tranny problems. They are the same people, just different locations, one is Chevy, the other is Pontiac, Olds, GMC.

Well each dealer is gonna be different... if I owned a place and you came in with hacked off cats and you had some severe engine/transmission failure, I'd tell you to leave.
For general crap, I wouldn't care. Stuff like... alternator, steering, most suspension, etc.

Reminds me ... I've got an altenator that's squeking (bearing going out) and some paint that's flaking off an interior piece. There was something else, but I forgot what it was.
Only thing I'm scared of is them driving it further than the shop to change the altenator.

Keep tabs of the milage, I ALWAYS do. I don't trust them for ****. It should not have any more milage than .2-.4 for going around the corner into the shop.
If you still have that OE 105A unit, just ditch it for the GM 130A that most of us have that's like $95 shipped from that RV place on ebay.
