Rerouting heater hoses for summer.
I know this sounds a little off but I really would like to stop hot water from circulating thru the heater core during the summer. As near as I can tell the hot water passes thru the core all the time. Does anyone know of a way that it might be done safely ? (Safe for the engine is what I mean.) Thanks for any guidance.

You can pull the two hoses off the plastic fittings at the firewall and connect them together, then cap off the firewall fittings. Not sure why you would want to do that, but that would get you there.

Yea i just used a coupling and connected them. It helps a lil when its 100* outside
But your goin to want to get the water out of the Heater core or flush it to keep it from gelling up or corroding from water sitting in there.

Guys I appreciate the information. Thunder550 one of the reasons for considering it nonnieselman touched on. The other is that when I have just outside air coming in, the air out of the vents is always warmer than the outside air temperature. It's been that way since new so I figured it was just poor design. Thanks again for the help guys.
