rough ride, bumpsteer, etc~~please come in
My truck has been having issues since I first bought it. In stock configuration I have a slight bounce to my truck, and it was a bit rough. My Tre's were shot, so I replaced all 4, bought new BT street performance shocks, then did a shackle drop.
It still continued to bounce, the rough ride settled down, then it came back. A few months ago I started to get what I assume is bumpsteer. Over bumps and higher speeds I get sloppiness in my steering wheel, and a rough ride. The best way I can describe the feeling is similar to dribbling a basket ball, as if something were loose.
I did 2/4 drop using BT pro coils with the spacer to achieve 2", and flip kit with lift hangar and stock shackles. Right afterwards I got an alignment and truck seemed fine, until about 2 weeks later, it all got worse
any insight?

In my opinion, You did Alot of things wrong to achieve a smooth lowered ride. First a Monotube shock is going to ride smoother than a "performance" Dual tube. Up front a factory spring will ride alot smoother/better than a drop coil.I would have used a spindle/Control arm instead. Last as mentioned check your pitman arm, ball joint,tie rod and any wearable parts. Also the rear is kinda funky with the flip, lift hanger..I like the flip part but why not do shackle/hanger if you only planned on 4"..At any rate how does your pinion angle look? was it under stress when you re-assembled the leafs to perches?

those shocks were recommended by so many people on so many forums, so I bought them
agreed with coils, just doing the cheapest to see how I liked it. really debating on doing new front ****
do not have a pitman, as stated before...rack and pinion. tre's are new, as stated. truck has less than 10k miles on all parts, drop parts are less than 1500 miles. TRE's have like 5k miles, bj's are stock...but seem fine. Truck as 76k miles
why the lift hangar, because one vendor suggested it on a different forum, and I heard and saw issues with 2" lift shackles being a PITA with crew cabs. I can still hit a 5" with the hangar, it is adjustable. I installed 4* shims that came with kit

Balljoints can fail one could be bad and other 3 could be good, its always easier to trouble shoot one thing at a time certain speeds accelerating braking and so on so forth when it happens

bot sure I follow, I understand they can fail, but I had an alignment 4 days ago. Everything seemed fine, not sure how I can diagnose this with simple braking to be honest, **** has had me baffled for some time.
