Default Sam's Club gas, is it worth the savings?

I usually fill my truck up with Sam's gas, and I was wondering if it is good quality gas and actually has the advertised octane rating. I ask because I am going to get a Wheatley 93 tune, and don't want issues when I get 93 at Sam's. Their gas is usually $0.10 less than the cheapest name brand shop in College Station.

Anyone have any experiences or know of any test results? Side question, what are people's favorite gas? Thanks!

The reason why it's cheaper is that they don't put additives in it. FWIW, when my truck was stock and had quite a bit of timing added, I couldn't get gas from Walmart, Sams, or HEB otherwise my truck would run like ****.

I mainly use Chevron, cause it is close to my house and I never had a problem with gas from them. I usually go to the same store ever Friday (Payday) and get gas!! IMO pick a place and stay with it...

FYI, gas stations are allowed to put some water into the tank to allow the gas to float upwards. Some gas stations (Mom and Pop) are less than careful when it comes to these practices, that is why some places you get bad gas.

I am pretty sure it is true. I forgot where I read it.. Gas stations do it to raise the level of gas to meet the pump ends.
