Default Seafoam

Do you have to do an oil change after you use seafoam through your brake booster hose? When you use it through that hose does it clean all the cylinders? What does it do through the pcv valve? Sorry for all the questions but I want to get it right. Any information will help.

If you remove the PCV hose it sucks it into the intake not into the PCV. Yes it gets all cyl, and yes do a oil change after. Hope that helps. It doesnt take much, in my expirence I have done about 1/4 can.

Pull the line from the brake booster and let the vacuum suck it in; it'll take about half a can. Pour the rest in the crankcase or the gas tank. Yes you need to do an oil change afterwards. Here's a how-to:

If you just do an intake clean (threw a vacuum hose) why do you need to change the oil afterwardS?

I would say cause it knocks all that dirty crap in there loose and what doesn't end up going out the exhaust will be in the oil.

I have done seafoam many times and always had good success. I have also always heard that it is pretty hellacious on your spark plugs which I can believe so you might wanna clean those after you do it.

i just did the wifes geo prism,, OMG that was the funniest thing pulling out the driveway and seeing the faces of all my Spanish neighbors looking at the HUGE cloud of smoke!! HAHAHA

And yes I did notice a big improvement in idle smoothness, I'm doing the second half of the can after dinner.

Then my truck gets a can tomorrow

Mine has always took the whole can slowly, I used the vacume line that is located on the driver side fuel rail, Smokes like hell, Runs alot better, I let it sit after it takes in the can for about 5min and then drive it around,

I would use a funnel inserted in your pcv line instead of just sticking the line in the can. I have done the seafoam several times on many different cars with the funnel method. My 2000 Silvy collapsed the can when I stuck the line in the can. We found the funnel method a lot safer and eaiser to do.
