my theory is the smoke is actual carbon build up. ive foamed the same vehicle 2x in a row using the same method. smoked like a train the first time, and barely at all the 2nd time.

When you guys add the sea foam, you guys add it, by pouring it into the brake booster line? Which goes straight into the intake manifold? Then in threw the heads and out threw the exhaust?

im going to have to get some seafoam. ive got 120K and its never been done. i just cleaned the tb and it was really bad. my truck runs fine, completely stock besides my diablo sport, you think my truck will run better after the seafoam? not looking for a performance gain, i just want a smooth running engine.

I've never understood, how does this not hydro-lock the engine? Does is vaporize, or do you just have to watch the volume you put in?

I have always been a little suspicious that it would screw something else up.

I did mine a few months ago. 230,000 miles and had never done it. I pulled the vacum line off of the brake booster and stuck that in the can. You need to have the engine at operating temperature and feed it fast enough that the engine is a little hesitent to stay running. The key is RIGHT AFTER the can is gone shut the engine off for about 5 minutes. Dont try to rev it up before you shut off......just shut it off. It MAY take a few seconds longer to crank it up as it is pretty much flooded. And it WILL run like crap....there is a good chance you will have to feather the throttle to keep it running. Bring your RPM's to around 2000-2500 and run it till it stops making the thick white smoke. Then drive as normal. Mine still smoked for a few miles of driving AFTER it stopped creating the thick white cloud. This is pretty normal.....you didn't blow or mess anything up....its just burning the rest off that may have pooled.

My truck has NEVER ran so good after this was performed.
