SES light burned out
I guess my SES light is burned out. It dosen't come on when you turn the key on with the engine off. The bulb is replaceable isn't it? Anyone have the part number. I haven't taken the cluster out, just trying to do my research and run parts before I take it apart.

A friend of mine even replaced the water temp guage in my cluster. I'm sure the bulb can be replaced.

Don't be messing with me now...neither my heart nor my wallet can take it right now.

not messing with you. I'm sure if you had another cluster to steal parts from, you could fix it, but GM doesnt seem to fix components of those anymore....just service as one assembly. Like I said though, I dont know for sure and will check tomorrow for ya....

ok, here's the deal. replaceable only by a whole cluster OR you can try to get parts out of a broke cluster.
Try this first though. If you can get ahold of a scanner (Tech 2, EfiLive, HPT maybe?) and use them to command it on, then you will know if the bulb is good or not. Or, if thats not an option, pull the connector on the MAF, as that will instantly cause a check engine light when you start the truck. If it comes on, then you have another problem. If not, you know your options........sorry man.

I know the light isn't coming on...with the key turned on it should come on. If they make those clusters non servicable then they should have leds instead of bulbs. I'm sure I can figure something out. I guess it is easier for the dealer to have me spend $600 on a new cluster(of course mine is a SS to make matters worse).

The SES and most of the other indicators like the seat belt light and stuff are LED's and I have some, I can replace it for you if you send me your cluster for $50 and the cost of return shipping.
Blue base bulbs are the back lights and the small white squares are the LED's

Hmmm...That would be great. Now, what if there is a problem with the cluster itself? I have really sh^ty luck. I do really dig those platinum Escalade clusters and since my truck is my driver I almost have to buy a cluster cause I need to drive my truck. I guess I can live without the SES light for a little while. I'm thinking now maybe the route to go is to buy a new cluster and have my old one fixed then sell it.
