Its molded on and will not come off. I ended up taking a cut off wheel to mine to get it off. The shifter it self is hollow so there isnt anything to screw another **** onto.

What I ended up doing was taking a round allen bolt and lathed it down at school and pressed it into the shifter allowing me to screw on a ****. Worked out well but if you dont have the correct tools its a lot of work.

If you want, just replace the WHOLE handle and then you can put any **** on the new handle that you want. They're $20 at slponline dot com.
