Default Shift Points...

Just wanted to get some input on my shift points and where you guys are shifting at. Right now I am shifting at 5900ish that's where my tuner has is set at but still feels like it is still pulling up top. Any input would be great in which direction I should go.

I would say you are cutting yourself short. I'd think 6200 ish would be good with your cam. I usually setup stock engines around 5900 to 6100 depending on exact model.

My cam only makes power to 5500rpms on a dyno jet & 6000rpms on a mustang. I have mine shifting @ 6500. Seems to be doing just fine. If your rev limiter is set higher just try to manual shift it to see how it does.

Agree with this, but just for some info. Back when i was stock my Tahoe was a good amount quicker shifting at 6200rpm vs 5700. Yourse seems a little low to me, but there are alot of factors to this

I might get on a dyno after I get settled in up in Fort Lewis Wa. Just have to find a good dyno up in that area.

I picked up EFI Auto Cal and going the street tune route now....Ran about 50 minutes of logs tonight and sent them in. Can't wait to see the improvements!

I'm running a Trailblazer I6 stall. Wide open throttle it will flash to 2600ish. I think a nice 3200 stall and built trans is next on the list along with a nice set of 3.90 gears and a try trac
