don't get a cage unless you actually need it. i hate when people put roll cages in cars/trucks and never run the time to justify having it. that is something "ricers" in their 13 second hondas do. please dont be one of those kinds of people

Not just getting it for times, its a safety factor to me. Not ruling out the times though. Should be in mid 7's(1/8th) once I get the truck running.. Last I ran with a mismatched stall was 8.3ish.. with better launch, appropriate sized stall and once I get rid of these 3.42's(which are currently FUBAR, as well as tranny) i'll be running at least the 100 shot again, maybe the 150.. Im sure it will be plenty to push me to low 12's in 1/4. We'll see.

I guess I see what you mean. But I know for me, I am not putting a 10 point in my truck becasue I want to be safe, I am going it becasue they are making me if I want to run my truck again at the track. I never think I will ever need it. If I thought like that I would never leave my house......

Well I always like the saying "Its better to have it and not need it, than to need it and not have it". Im sure if I ever do toll my truck at 90+mph ill be glad to have the cage.

cage is cool, expecially if you are crazy on the street but I can't see how you will get one in an ex-cab without cutting it up a bit. If you do it make sure you get plenty of pics

I guess feeling as if you value your life is a bad thing.....
wearing a seatbelt is no differant. You do it because it adds safety to your commute.
if he drives fast all the time and does some racing here and there why is having a cage that big of a deal? Regardless of how fast a ride is being safe is not something you should look down upon IMO.
I understand why people don't want a cage it's painfully obvious.
But if you do then it should not be a big deal to everyone?
Guess i just don't understand why wanting a cage for safety is such a big deal to everyone?
