I kepp smelling antifreeze when, I get out of my truck. I have had it for5 or 6 months now. 2002 2500HD 4X4 6.0L auto. I have check the antifreeze, and the level is good. But a few days ago the light came on. But the level is good. I smelled it again today. But sometimes, I won't smell it for a few weeks. I have crawled all over looking for any leaks, or small seepage anywhere. I had spent about a half a day once, just to reassure myself. Any suggestions?

If its not leaking, the thing I'd check is the cap on the overflow tank. If its damaged or the seal is bad or if its not seated right for whatever reason, it can leach the scent you smell without leaking any coolant.

The water pump gaskets are a common failure, and they often won't leave a puddle as they leak very slowly and the antifreeze trail doesn't make it past the oil pan. As for the low level light coming on and the level being full, that's probably the sensor in the overflow, or the wiring/connector to it may be corroded or intermittently open.

Thanks for the info. I will check those. Well atleast the cap, and connection. Then possibly water pump gasket sometime. I did notice today it was running at the line before the 210 mark. So maybe the thermostat could be bad?
