Default So i think im burning coolant....

little puffs of white smoke at idle and a weird smell (and this was after i was driving around town for a while). Was under the truck wondering what to do for a better muffler and noticed this. Sound like a coolant leak inside somewhere? Gonna take the y pipe off and see if i can pinpoint it to one of the banks..

If the puffs of white smoke are accompanied by a sweet smell then it's probably coolant. You could pull plugs off of each bank and look for one that looks more fouled than the rest. Coolant will cause buildup on the plug.

Well talked to a few people and watched some videos of cracked heads and blown head gaskets and mine is not near that much smoke. All the plugs looked good like the ones below so maybe its just a little oil, i got a catch can on the way so maybe it will help??
