Angry some *** busted my cars window

my wife had our car at work last night. she works her butt off dealing cards to all the drunk gamblers. well when she got off work she goes up to our car to find it has a smashed side window and only two things are missing, our radar detector, and a nokia phone charger. talk about pissed, i would have rather gave the two items to the ******** rather than to have him bust my window. 200 dollars for a window. security says they have video of the guy doing it last night to my car, and the night before to another car. some vietnamese kid that lost all his cash is what they said. my guestion, if security seen him do this, could they have gotten a tag number or at least got off their asses to catch the kid.

yeah, been there.....

dont know why but, nothing looks worse, or feels worse than a smashed window.........****, they took the hood, but left the leather jacket, cell phone, radar detector, cd's, etc.....

this was years ago, and I still find bits of glass here and there....its a freakin mess.....

Try having someone throw a big *** rock through your passenger window only to crawl in, not open the door and grab my radar detector off my dash.
The dumbasses even dropped some of their money on my floorboard.
The worst part was having to drive that bitch home in like 30 degree weather.
Heater on full blast still didnt help!

yea it was pretty cold last night. my wife was at work and was the one driving the car. the security guards at the casino she works at used one if their rain coates and duck taped it to the window frame. i guess they were eager to help considering this is the 5th car in 4 days to have been broken into at that place. i think someone needs to be fired at that place. they even have golfcarts to do patrols on. hmmm, can you say too lazy to even drive!

i know how you feel. had my truck broke into about 2 years ago, on my birthday for crying out loud. i was celebrating pretty good at Joe's crab shack. and walked out to the truck with the wife and let her in herside and shut the door. she said when i did that glass just started falling from the driver window. i didn't notice untill i opened my door and glass was falling on the floor. talk about sobering up real quick. i was pissed. and all they took was a 100 dollar radio. tape deck at that. left my speakers, radar detector, my Oakley jackets sunglasses. and a leather jacket. wound up having to fork out 300 dollars to have a new window put in and get it tinted again. and it was all on video but the best police department in the united states, houstons proudest (HPD) didnt even do anything about it. i told the cop it was on video and he was like, "ok? you need to fill out this BS form and go up to headquarters and get your case number." I was like your not going to go look at the tape and he said nope. man i could had deck that dick.

i know the probability of the police catching the guy/s involved are slim to none, my wife said the police officers didn't care to even know what was taken. funny thing is, she had some prescription medicine right on the console that would have fetched a lot more money on the street than a radar detector.

Sorry for your victomization goshawk. Keep everything out of site, helps but isn't a guaranty. I wouldn't even replace the radar detector,If the cop sees it you pay max fine, thay make a mark or code the ticket so the judge knows you run one even if you where not ticketed for it.

unlike a lot of other states, ms has no laws against using a detector around here. neither me or my wife speed much so we really don't need it. and yea, i am not gonna waste any money on buying a new one.

Been there too. Luckily when it happened to me, a coworker pulled into the parking lot and scared them off before they could take the dvd player in the back seat, the radar detector, tools, 2 pairs of oakleys, or anything else that was in my truck. I did have to pay about $450 for a new window though, and the great video cameras at Target didn't get ANYTHING at all. Not a good night. Funny story though, about 3 days later strong winds blew the big Target sign down and it fell on my dad's truck which I was in while my window was getting fixed. Man, that was one crazy week for me with vehicles.
