I had my helmet on the last time but I didn't always need one. My truck was puttin 320 to the ground with a 100 shot and my best was 14.0s on street tires with a stock converter. So now I'm puttin 377 to the ground with 4.10s, slicks and a 3200 vig. and might see a 12.98 out of it.I weigh 160lbs.My truck must be a dog!

I have ls1edit and I've only got 10k miles. And I could actually see 13.5's with the better gears, but not 13.2's...even with the cutout. The servo is not going to give you .1 et. We had the same mods except gears up until the servo and cutout, and you're homebrew intake isn't making gobs more hp either if we both dyno the same numbers. I'm trying to figure out what gives. You and your friend are the only trucks in the nation...that we know of...that are managing 13.5 and 13.2 with "bolt ons" only. Even oxidizer couldn't manage better than 13.8 et. Funny you both know Futral. But then, of course, he put a cam in Yancy's old truck and neither would admit it had a cam until a lot of people said it just couldn't be unless there was a cam swap involved.

Yeah, I'm disappointed if I can't get any better than a 13.7 "if" you two are running 13.5 and 13.2 with "bolt ons" only...who wouldn't be?

You said it yourself in the second sentence of this thread:
quote:
Since I seem to have gotten labeled as "negative", I'll be that guy.

How did you figure out your labeled that unless you know yourself that you are. If he has a cam, then he will be yanked from the list as will ANYONE that gets caught lieing about there mods. That list is based on willing and honest information provided by the owners. We've been pretty good at the Q&A game on guys times. But does it really matter that much to you? I just don't understand your vendeta against some of the guys here.

I am not siding with anyone, but some trucks are "freaks". They are just faster than average of the lot. Then some trucks respond better to mods than others. I don't see why a 13.28 is not possible.
LOTSOFN, nice run!

Well i just have to get in here and give my 2 cents worth. Red53gmc I am not impressed with your times, for the mods you have. When i saw you run at state capitol i wanted to know what you had done. Believe me jeremys truck is all stock inside. And as for daryls truck, He is all bolt ons also. Take me for instance. 2002 single cab short bed fleetside. You saw my truck. Only mods i have are in my signiture plus the short belt i ran this past friday and went 13.99@96.01. I can thank LOTOFN for the shortbelt setup.I dont have any major mods(headers, converter.) hell i still have cats. And i am very impressed with my times, as are many other people. I have a friend of mine who has every damn bolt on in the book, plus a Procharger and only went 13.11. I am a true believer that trucks respond differently to mods. some take well and some dont. My truck started off stock with 1200 miles and ran 14.94 at 92.??. so i really havent come very far from that 1st time. What was your truck running stock? 15.5? Im just guessing but i bet it wasnt in the 14s. Anyway the point is, Jeremy is stock internals and has no reason to lie about it. Hes knows what hes doing with every mod he puts on his truck so he doesnt waste money or time by doing them. Im still tryin to get him to build me one of those intakes. Side by side Ill throw rocks at my KNGen2 compared to his. ok im done LATA

So how does a truck dynoing 291rwhp and 320rwtq only run 13.9s?? That's obviously more than yours so unless you have pulled out all of your interior and lost a lot of weight that truck should have run quicker than you but didn't. So tell the truth...are you pulling out everything you can for weight or running in street form?

As far as the intakes and ****....who cares if the trucks are dynoing the same?? There's no advantage on hp or tq.

You can go back and look...you'll see that I was pointing out that there are many reasons for a 8-10hp difference between two dynos a month apart. I said you can't just give it to the upd over the k&n.

Later hater.
