We've got a conspiracy going. Now we have three trucks in a group all running better than 99.9% of the other trucks out there. As long as no one outside the group finds out, everything's cool.

Now, until this group came along, it was not common to go any faster than 13.7-13.8 with a full compliment of bolt ons....but low and behold it's now common for these three only...one with and 2 w/o all the boltons.

But, I guess everyone's right....it really doesn't matter b/c there is always someone out there that is faster with more mods.

I'll be moving on to bigger and better things now, so you can all rest easy. This board can only help you so much.

RED, What do you mean lie to your face? When i asked about your mods about a week back it was only b/c i wanted to know what it took for your truck to run 13.8s I wanted to know b/c I curious as to what others are running to get their times. I never told you i was impressed with your times. When I found out what all you had done, then i formed an opinion about your ride. Its not just 3 trucks man i can tell you that. Friend Of mine has a 2000 GMC 5.3 14.69 with underdrive pulleys KN intake and exaust.3.42 gears and 1 wheel pull. also LOTSOFN will remember this night. daryl used my tires at state capitol. An army guy was coming in from being stationed in somewhere in north LA and stopped by the track. 1999 single cab 5.3 14.61 on side of me.with kn drop in filter hypertech cutout 3.73s and posi. now thats what i call crazy Its not that we are unusually fast, its that your truck is not responding to modds as well as ours. Im not tryin to rag on you at all,I know jeremy and hes not going to lie about his times. For the 13.28 he did have some weight reduction.

OMG, You are like arguing with a brick wall!
I guess it's pointless.
As far as weight reduction; tailgate(only b/c it fell off before), passenger seat (54 lbs.), swaybar (pulled it for traction-not for weight reduction). Keep in mind I still weigh a little over 270, so that little bit of weight reduction isn't really a whole lot.
Air intakes, on a dyno it probably doesn't help much, but I could almost guarantee air flow going down the track is much improved (almost as if forced induction).
Let's make it simple. Shut your pie hole - spend some money, buy a cut out, servo, 3.73's, and have somebody program your truck (b/c apparently you don't know what you're doing) and go back to the track and see what you run. Until then shut your mouth, quit your crying, and take it like a man! Some people's **** is just born slow.

lotsofn, do you really think a SERVO will honestly show any kind of improvment at a track? seriously now.... i am also a little skeptical that you run that much faster than the other trucks with same mods, but i don't really care...a 13.28 wont even be as fast as a motor run by may for me so it's all good.

Yes in my case it really helped. With the SUPERCHIPS program It doesn't pull out all the TQM. so in the 2-3 shift you could almost count to 2 and watch the MPH fall off when it shifted.
The 1-2 shift was improved even more than the 2-3. So I'm sure that helped also.

hahahahahahaa.....a servo, come on now...we're all big boys here...well almost all of us(red53gmc) but a servo doesn't make any kind of performance gain at all. when i got mine my truck didn't run any better at all. maybe your sotp dyno is just very very very sensative.

There wasn't ant sotp dyno.Track time proves it point blank. The only thing changed from the 13.51 pass to the 13.28 pass is the cut-out,servo,and pass.seat pulled.

so you're saying that a servo and cutout cut 2+ tenths of a second off your et? i know the cutout helped and gave a little gain in et...but 2 tenths i don't know man, that's kinda pushing it...IMO. but hey, it's all good man...more power to ya. when you get into the 12s on bolt ons alone then you're the ****...until then you're just like the rest of us.

Is two tenth's really that hard to beleive?
Everything I do to my truck I do it for a reason;

Cut-out,on the dyno the air/fuel was way rich after 4000rpm,like at 11.5.So I added a cut-out with the hopes of leaning it out a little.

Servo, the truck shifted like *** so I put it in with the hopes of speeding the shift up.And you know what,it helped!

Can't recall EVER saying I was the "****"!I'm not the idiot that started this post.Ya'll had questions I had answers, point blank. As for as 12's with bolt-on's,with the right weather and a couple of things I plan on changing and adding I think it's possible (for sure not this summer though)

Let's put another wrinkle in this. Some of you may understand where I'm coming from. I guess that when ever you put a new bolt on , on the truck, you run right out and get a new best!.Might as well not even run again until you get a new bolt on because by the logic exhibited by some of you in this thread it would be impossible to go any faster. Just get over it. Oh yea Red, I do know how to push your buttons. UPD rules hahahahaha!!!!!!You don't smile much do you?
