spark gap on 5.3 is it .060 or .040?

Yep it was mean that posted the differences in the tunes

Also your setup is ALOT tamer than mine.... My cam's overlap and 9.5 converter has ALOT of idling issues... Very small changes can affect my idle alot more than yours...

Anyways, i was simply stating my experiences, seems like most gap them at .55 and they run fine, however mine didn't

All true Corey...honestly, I guess that the correct gap depends on the hard parts combined with the tune. The first time that I swapped plugs I think I was mostly stock with bolt ons....I was quite surprised to see how inconsistent that the gaps were and how clean the plugs came out.

OEM reccomended and set gap is .40

I have always ran TR6's, 110lsa cam, and converter, truck idles perfect, zero issues, do yall think its better for me to swap to TR55?

I did tr55 iridium plugs when i did my cam swap and left the gap alone i am not sure to what gap they are at but it idles fine.

I also heard that it is not good to gap tr55i because the tips can break easily.

This is true, the iridium tip is micro-welded on and can't be pried against or it will snap off. If gapping is necessary for whatever reason, needle nose pliers or something is needed to grab the ground.

Does anyone know why I have no power ,I replaced throttle body sender new plugs ,new mass air flow,reset computer did the grounds sti it's sluggish????

this spark plug gap thread is 12 years old.
