Default Sprayed a 175 shot on my 1998 4.3L V-6

Raced this guy at my school for bragging rights! He had basically the same truck but with a 350. He was spraying a 100 shot and I had a 2 stage kit. 100 off the line whick put us about dead even 75 more on a push button which made all the difference. I beat him by about 3 cars. If anyone here goes to UTI in the evening you might hear about it. There were a **** load of people out there last night. Just thought amount of NOS would surprise some of you. Truck is running great and tranny too. Everyone told me no more than a 75 shot! yeah ............ok I'll try to G-tech it on the gas and give you guys some numbers.

So, a V-8 S-10 with a 100 shot would be even to a 4.3 S-10 with a 100 shot? For some reason, this just isn't adding up.

Anyway, carry on...

no 175 shpt against 100 shot and the other guy is driving a 350. The v6 weights less and has more hp with the nitrous. yeah he would win.

100 off the line whick put us about dead even
Unless he has a smog motor from a 1978 Caprice, a 100 shot on a V-8 wouldn't be even with a 4.3 with a 100 shot. Would it?

75 more on a push button which made all the difference.
So, a two stage 175 shot on a 4.3? I just don't see that happening. Maybe for a time or two, but I can't see that motor lasting longer than a bottle or two on a 175 shot. He would have to have a built bottom end and forged pistons to run that shot!

Correct me if I am wrong but I believe a guy called Kechme was using a 300 shot in a T/A stock bottom end. He went through intakes about every other weekend but thats expected. Not sure what happened with that motor but I used to hear about it when i lived in Houston. He was a dallas kid.

I wouldnt recommend it but it could be done. I would do domething like that if I was just trying to get a excuse to buy a new engine or to put one in. the v6 can only go so far. anyone remeber that 4.5 liter iron block in the orange s-10 lingenfelter came up with. that damn thing was fast. N/A it was a v6 beast.
