My truck has a Rhino liner and a roll and lock cover. It is over the bed rail. I think that is the way to go, it really helps keep things from getting scratched up. I don't think you can go wrong with either company.

On a side note, I saw a demo one time I thought was pretty cool. A company took 2 cinder blocks and coated 1 with Line-x. They then took them about 20 feet in the air on a lift and dropped them on the ground. The normal one just shattered. The line-x on just bounced, I though it was pretty neat

My truck had a spray-on liner installed by the dealership. They stopped under the rail. I've used my truck for all kinds of stuff, and now I've got a few dents and scratches on the rails, especially around the pockets where I hook bungees to hold things down. I've got some second-hand ABS rail-caps to go on, but I would prefer to get the rails sprayed to match the inside of the bed.

I would suggest that if you do use the truck as a truck, then have the loops in the corners of the bed taped off and not coated. You might also take the opportunity to have a few extra U-bolts installed.

I looked into several of the different brands before I got mine and ended up getting one called Gatorhyde. It is kind of in between Line-X and Rhinoliner as far as the texture/hardness goes. I chose it because the company that makes the chemicals for it is near by here and I got it done for $200 less than the quote I got from Line-X. I went with over the rail on my truck because I had the factory plastic caps on the bedrails that where stained and looked like crap so I got rid of them. I paid $325 for over the rails.
