Default Sprung my door

Well it was windy today and my door got ripped from my hands and snapped open. Now the door sicks out a little bit and it dosent close quietly like it should it sounds like an old truck door from the 80s. The door and front fender are not all nice and even any more either. I know somthing in the door sprung or broke, but does anyone know of any ideas? is i just sprung? or did i break somthing? any idea of cost to get it fixed?

i dunno about the nbs but my 98 chev rclb wore the pin out in the door. I took the door off and put a new pin in. It cost me 8 bucks and quit the 80 truck squeek.

I've had this happen, your hinges are bent. You can either buy new hinges or get yourself an old clean 2x4 and wrap a tshirt around the end of it. Stuff the end of the 2x4 inbetween the front of the door and the cab and slam the door on it, this will bend the hinges back to where they should be. You'll need to work your way up and down as to reshape both hinges a little bit at a time. Although if you're not comfortable doing this, just buy new hinges. This is an ol' timers trick my dad taught me when I let the door fly open on his S10. Patience and perfect placement of the 2x4 and the right amount of force applied with slamming the door will get it almost back to perfect.

I would say buy new hinges.

take it to a body shop and have them look at it and tell you what it needs to be fixed and after that just get the parts and fix it yourself.

yeah, thats why I would suggest getting tohem to tell you just what you need and doing it yourself.. I never take anything to a body shop unless you absolutely have to... If you have a friend with a hookup with a body shop just get them to look at it and probably not charge you anything.

arent the hinges welded on there though, if it was that simple to just bolt on i would try to tackle it..
