Default stiffen up the throttle pedal, can it be done?

The throttle on my 03 in my sig (DBW) seems really soft, over rough bumps my foot is on and off the throttle when I don't want it to be. Are there any springs that can be changed to stiffen up the throttle to something like my OBS trucks.

Yes you can, just un-bolt the peddle assembly from the fire-wall to make it easier to work on. After you remove it, you will notice that it has a big spring on it to give it resistance. You can then just get a heavier spring to replace it with; just don't go overboard as a little will go a long way. GM did just that, as the earlier models were very touchy and as time went on they steadily increased the resistance to address complaints.

Any clue as to what spring rate would make it feel like a 98 tahoe or 95 pickup?

Thank you!

I felt the same way and just crawled up under there and added another spring beside the stock one. Removing the pedal sounds like too much hassle to me. Its still not quite stiff enough but better than stock, and mine was the same exact way when you went over bumps would **** me off with it being so soft

Glad I'm not the only one. lol Probably doesn't help my shocks are stiffer than stock either.

Where'd you get your spring?

Sorry no help there, i just found mine in my garage bolt and parts drawer. Id look under there and estimate how long it is then just go get a soft shorter TB or carb spring at the parts store if your going to add to it. Or take it off like mentioned before and take it to the parts store to find a stiffer replacement..

Toyota's don't have a return spring, it's an internal coiled spring in the pedal assy.

I get the joke though
