Default Stock HEMI RCSB VS Stock 5.3 Results

As many of you have read, the race was a success! The Hemi I raced was plagued with serious traction problems on the first race and netted a 16 second run vs my 14.9. The next run the guy had much better luck with traction, but still ran a 15.1 vs my 14.7. We would have been closer in times if they guy was able to drop his spare (I had my spare on the first race) and front sway bar to match my weight reductions, but I really doubt it would have dropped it the 1/2 second needed to beat me. I should also note that it was the Hemi owners first trip to the track.

And before anyone starts arguing about which brand is better , all I am saying is that this particular stock chevy took that particular Hemi in this particular race. That is all. I'm not saying I could beat all Hemi's, or that Chevy is better than Dodge. It's just friendly competition!

Holy crap, a 14.7 at 93.5, thats a factory freak of a bowtie. Good runs man, those times are killer for a stock truck running 3.42's.

Any video clips?

No video, we only ran twice and were supposed to tape the 3rd run. Well the lanes were moving SLOWLY last night and we didn't get a third run in.

I'll be the first to admit that I have a freak. I think it's because my knock sensors don't work. I have a VERY audible spark knock above 4k rpms when on 87 gas. 92 or above silences most of it.

It ran strong, but I would have gotten my *** whooped by a certain all motor 4.8L on this board that was running last night! We never got the chance to run, and I'll let him tell the story of his times and mph!

I don't know about *** kicking, but I did get my new best last night!

14.83 @ 95.22

My best MPH was actually 95.49!

If I could hook like SRA, I'd be able to knock 3-4 tenths off that time. That was on a 2.325 60'.

cold weather + EDIT = WOOT WOOT!

You definitly have a freak 5.3L, running 14.7 @ 93.5 mph stock. With all my mods, my best is a 14.85.. If the Hemi was stock, a 15.1 is very respectable, I don't no how many "normal" 5.3L run a 15.1 stock. Congrats!
