Thanks guys for backing me. As for the inconsistencies with the other Hemi's I'm not sure, but my truck's really strong on the launch.
My truck if the scales are right should weigh in at about 4940lbs. I removed the spare (20"steel) and jack and was at 1/4 tank gas. I also had 44 psi in the front tires. I don't have any fancy options that add weight either, other than tow package and large heavy 20" wheels. They do hook nicely though!
My truck will not run these times when I move to Florida soon, because my best in hot, humid air was 15.3 this summer.

There does seem to be a definate issue of some Hemi's running better than others but it could be engine or pcm related. I don't baby this one, and in fact beat on it quite often which might help. I think my truck may weigh close to a RCSB with loaded options. (raceweight)

Want to race cars also??

There trucks who cares.

I just remeber reading a bunch of posts about how slow the Hemi are. I think its time poeple own and maybe show a little respect.

I was there and Moose was racing me! I was not racing him at the time he put down the 15.03, but I did see the race and he did run it! I lined up against him twice and ran a 16.5 and 16.4 respectively. The first two times I tried running in 4WH and then in Auto 4WD. Neither one worked and I think I lost too much through the drivetrain. I did make a 3rd pass in 2WD and ran a 16.20 @ 83mph.

Now before all you guys start jumping on my case I have a Ext Cab 4x4, 4.8L with 3.73's bone stock! There was another hemi there that was a 4x4 that ran a 15.8 but to me that's not that much better than my 4.8 with 270hp. I'm pretty sure I could have hit 15's with a cold air kit and exhaust, but I didn't buy my truck to modify it..that's what the Firehawk is for. I thought the 4.8 di d pretty well considering. The 2wd hemi did run those numbers, but the 4x4 hemi I thought would have done better compared to my 4.8L

Take it easy!

OK, I offically take back my and honestly impressed with those times for a stock truck.
I am just confused since I ran a RCSB Hemi truck three times and except for Chris getting a jump on me twice (nice launch on that truck) we were neck and neck. The time he had some wheel spin negating his jump we were side by side the entire time.
So is his truck the exception or yours????? I agree that each of the big three have a wide variety of performance on identical stock trucks. I guess it just keeps us all saying

Man! Some vehicles are factory freaks. I used to own an insanely fast '98 Z28. It'd eat everything I encountered on the street: M5 BMW, C4 'Vette, quick 5.0s, Porsche's, and the like. I'd say that was a very high 12 sec car. Not just barely beat...I mean lay the smack down.

Give these vehicles time to get quick...when GM released the '99 NBS Silverados they were turds (I know I used to own a '99) and now they run in the low 12sec range with larger motors and boost.

There was a New Harley editon There also. That truck went 14.51 @ 95 I think.

I also think that was pretty much stock.. That was my other choice since I had to have 4 doors, But I couldn't pony up the extra cash for it..

Moose, that's 4940 w/o me in it. By the way, that 15.03 is a nice time too. What was your 60ft times?
All I know is the 4wd Hemi's are "alot" slower. I raced a RCSB 4x4 a few months ago and put many truck lengths on him. well ok, maybe 2 or 3 but my truck's long!
I also saw the video of L82's 1500HD against the 2wd Hemi. Maybe your G-techs alittle off. I don't know though, I've seen RCSB 4x2's listed anywhere from 14.8's to 15.6's. Cool video though, ya'll had cojones!
I can say, when I let my wife drive the truck for a week it felt slower when I got back in it. I think the pcm adjusts to driving style or something. I dunno, but it took awhile for me to get the sotp feel again.

Wow, I did not know the QC's were that light. I keep forgetting that mine is really a 3/4ton. The curb weight is 5500. I think anything short of 15 is really moving for such big trucks.
