Default Strange Hi Beam issue

Hey fellas, I have a 2002 Silverado 1500 and here within the last 6 months, I've been having a random issue with my high beams turning on randomly during night time driving. Does happen during the day, only when the truck has automatic headlights on.

I work early mornings so it's dark outside on my drive to work. I work 6 days a week and this happens maybe once every 2 weeks. When I hit a certain bump on the freeway, the high beams randomly turn on. If I click the lever to turn them off, it does not work and the high beams stay on regardless how many times i pull the lever back. Turning on my left or right turn signal has no effect, the high beams stay on.

It's not until i get about 2 miles more down the freeway to my exit, when I approach the stop lights and come to almost complete stop do they turn off. And they do not come back on for the rest of my 10 minute drive.

It sounds like a loose ground or wire somewhere but I have no idea where I should start for the highbeams. Any help would be appreciated

P. S. I did not notice this issue until around maybe a month after some ******** tried to steal my truck. They busted my column open and messed up the ignition cylinder. I replaced with a new one from Amazon, but from what I could tell, nothing else on the column was damaged

They come on with a ground signal, so any bare wire that can contact chassis/ground is going to turn them on.

If you have investigated under the column/dash well and find no broken wires you might want to trace the wiring from the headlights back and see if anything is chafed/worn.

Probably the turn signal high beam switch assembly, But just a guess.
