trust me, when i say shop car, i mean, something that doesnt' leave the shop. no elaborate paint or anything like that. just something, in my spare time i can tinker with till i can afford to take it in public which means new paint and such. i am a cheap bastard that can be happy with a happy meal toy. as long as i can make it better or faster. lol

I generally track race... the track is closer to me than most street races (5 miles vs. 15 miles)

On the street I'll run anyone who is up for it, but I won't go past 50mph or so just b/c it's unsafe. Where I live every so often I hear of some stupid *** kid and his friend/girlfriend or whatever get killed b/c the idiot driver lost control and wrapped his *** around a telephone pole. I guess that helps the human gene pool though j/k
Also, if you get busted by the cops for street racing (in So. Cali), your car gets impounded, license suspended and you get raped in the *** with fines.
You get a fat ticket if you're just WATCHING a street race now, yea, it's that bad here now...those ****** kids messed it up for everyone
Not worth it....
Alot of locals on LS1.com go just out of the county line (Camarillo, Oxnard, etc.) to street race b/c the laws there are much more lax.
The track is not too far (about 40 miles or so I think)

its no different here......

about 3-4 years ago it was happening...but in the past 2 years it just completely went down hill.....I dont think i really need to say to anyone (especially you guys in cali), what completely brought the domestic scene down......around here imports have managed to bring every single once good parking lot, back road, hangout, and spots in general, to the law's attention. Now our streets are completely infested with these plastic fantastic go-karts and its just plain sad.

Hard sight to see when you remember long nights nothin but muscle cars showin up on trailers, z06's, vipers, supra's, doin it up top........huge meets with beautiful classic domestics and european imports....even the cops would come check it out.......i could go on, but thats all gone poop for now....

so to answer, nah, my street racing days are over, atleast for now or until the next wing with a motor wants to run for some cash.....

cant say you wont find me doin triple digits on the tollway tho.......
