STS takes down a Dodge V10
Went to the 1/8 mile track today to do a few passes. There were these 2 brand new yellow and black Dodge RT v-10's running. They were having there times withheld so nobody knew exactly what they would run. So I decided to give the yellow truck a try.
We lined them up, I brake stalled to about 2,000rpm and left on a couple lbs of boost. I had instant wheel spin (stock tires) then pedaled it some to gain traction and we were off. My boost gauge then settled around 6-7psi and I was looking at a yellow V-10 in the rear veiw. Thought he would run me down on the top end but it wasn't happening today. At the end of the track he smiled and asked "how much are you spraying". I replied "no bottle here". Lol
Even with a terrible launch I managed a 8.33 at 80.68 to his 8.54 at 77.96mph.
He also spun the tires as much if not more than me. With slicks, no doubt we would both run in the 7's and the V-10 might come out on top, but it would be close in the 1/8 mile. I'd just have to turn the boost up some more.

nice runs man, the more I think about those V-10 I think they are not all what they are made out to be. I think they should be putting more of that power to the ground.

You probably have more in it. You are only gaining 20mph from the 1/8th to the 1/4 and the average is about 23-26mph on all the turbo vehicles I have seen. Mine is a 23mph gain and that was with the trans slipping really bad.
Not that you're not doing good I just think there is even more left.

My mph today was only 80, but a few weeks ago I was running 82mph and 8.15
There was a toyota truck with a supra engine running 15psi and 50hp shot running 6.90's He said he was also 2mph short today so it may have just been the air. I still need to move my intercooler to the front to cool IAT's more and then I can turn it up more, but its moving pretty decent right now.
